Field Trip in Gran Sasso and Laga Mountains National Park
Escursione nel Parco Nazionale del Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga.
The 55th congress of the Italian Society of Vegetation Science, hopefully in presence, will be back in L'Aquila after 23 years. The University of L'Aquila is excited to host this event, in a city where culture has played and still plays a fundamental role on the path to full recovery after the earthquake in 2009.
The International Congress will focus on the role of Vegetation Sciences in identifying and mitigating the effects of global changes on plant biodiversity.
The first session will be focused on global changes impact on high-altitude vegetation. One session will be dedicated to remote sensing and more in general technologies to study plant communities and their dynamics. The third session will be focused on the role of protected areas in conserving plant communities and habitats. Finally, as usual, the last session is reserved to free topics.
