How to get to Reggio Calabria

How to get to Reggio Calabria

To facilitate your arrival and accommodation in Reggio Calabria, we provide some useful information.
Reggio Calabria is well connected by train, air and sea to several Italian and foreign cities. For this reason, we invite you to check the websites of ITA AIRWAYS and RYANAIR for air connections and TRENITALIA and ITALO for arriving by train. Alternatively, if you plan to come by car from the north, take the A2 Mediterranean highway and follow the signs for Reggio
Calabria: you know very well that the various dedicated apps will provide all the updated and detailed information in real time. For those coming from Sicily, it is advisable to ferry (on foot) with the Liberty Lines company that will drop you o􀆯 directly at the port of Reggio Calabria (we not recommend arriving in Villa San Giovanni because from there you have to disembark and
take a train to the railway station of Reggio Calabria Lido, lengthening the journey time): from the port you can easily reach the venue by bus, taxi or Uber (or even on foot). Alternatively, to ferry by car, you will have to pass through Villa San Giovanni with the RFI or CARONTE&TOURIST ferries.

Where to stay in Reggio Calabria

As for accommodation, Reggio Calabria has significantly expanded its accommodation
capacity with numerous B&Bs scattered throughout the municipal territory, but there are
several hotels that you can find in different areas of the city. Most hotels and B&Bs are in the
northern area of the city, between the port, the university and the Reggio Calabria Lido train
station, but many others are distributed in the surrounding areas. We recommend that you
focus on the area we have indicated above because the congress will take place at the
Cittadella Universitaria – Via dell’Università 25.
